Manhattan’s history, like most drinks, is not as clear as there are many ideas around the origin. A popular history suggests that the drink originated at the Manhattan Club in New York City in the early 1870s. The original Manhattan was a mix of American Whiskey, Italian Vermouth and Angostura bitters. Considered one of the classic drinks it is still served in bars all over the world. This drink should be mixed with the best Whiskey you can afford as combined with the bitters the flavors are sharp and very enjoyable when you move towards the high end. Ours is mixed with Bushmills and affordable Whiskey that stands up well to the bitters.

A creamy holiday cocktail that looks as pretty as it tastes.   is a yummy holiday drink.  Add a candy cane tied with a holiday ribbon for a festive presentation.  Cocktail glasses can be prepared/chilled in the fridge the day before the event.  The syrup will swirl better if both the glass and syrup are chilled.

If you like gingerbread you'll like .  It is a fun holiday drink with a comfort food taste.  We used this amazing, albeit expensive, maple syrup.  There are times when using the best of something pays off.  A very different unique cocktail that will be a hit at your holiday bash!

Adding any number of fruits, switching out the liquors and lead to an endless variety. Some of our favorites, the classic Agave Margarita, the fall taste of the Italian Margarita or the dramatic kick of the Top Shelf Margarita are very drinkable. All of these drinks will get you started exploring the wonderful world of Margaritas and Tequilas. The fewer ingredients and liquors the better the Tequila needs to be for the best taste. Madras is a great summer drink that shares a lot with the breezes and cape codder’s. The difference is there are two fruit juices orange and cranberry added to Vodka. Add a squeeze of line and you have a great summer drink. Versatile moving from brunch to late afternoons by the pool this is a drink that everyone should have in the recipe portfolio.

Mai Tai comes with multiple recipes depending on which version you like, the Trader Vic’s (1940’s) or Don the Beachcomber (1930’s). The Melon Ball was part of a series or recipes developed to introduce Midori to the US in the early 80’s. A green melon colored liquor makes a fun looking drink. Originating in Japan it was a cool club drink due to its unique color.

The Breakfast Martini is great for brunch, so fun or when you need that Sunday morning hair of the dog. Peach Mango Mojito is a smooth and refreshing summer drink. This drink is perfect for a party or poolside on a hot afternoon.  It's the classic mojito with a fruity twist. A little harder to put together than your average Margarita, it has 3 layers so you make one at a time and hold in the freezer until you are ready to layer them . It is a fun way to celebrate the 4th with a Red White and Blue Margarita!

Very similar to a cosmo, the Cranberry Martini has an additional edge to it from the dry vermouth. Tart and tangy and not as sweet, we think this one might be a bit better.

Nothing says summer like a Daiquiri! This Mango Daiquiri is not only fun but it has a wonderful taste that is light and fruity without being coy. The fresh key lime juice helps enhance the flavor of the mango and give it a nice tart back taste.
